I have no idea if anyone is even following this blog anymore but I am moving over to Tumblr. http://www.cutemessindustries.com I bought the URL about a year ago when I moved to Uber.com. Uber folded so I moved back to Blogspot but I couldn't get my custom domain recognized by Blogger due to some technical glitch that sometimes occurs when attempting to set that all up. I just randomly ended up on tumblr today and I like the simple interface and I was able to point my domain with out any fuss. so yay! Fresh Start!

CUTEMESS moved!!!!!!!!!!!!

I moved it over to Uber.com but it can be found at http://www.cutemessindustries.com. I moved it over at the end of last week and finally figured out how to point the new URL to the uber page where my blog is now residing and where I'll be able to add other pages when needed. The interface and building blocks they provide are pretty cool but the site is buggy and unavailable occasionally which hopefully won't happen too often. Friday July 11, 2008 DJ's, Art & Fashion at 111 Minna in SF

One of my best friends, Miss Amy Lou Bilodeau, will be showing her latest fashion collection at 111 Minna Friday night. The fashion show is around 10:30. There is also art being shown and Tim Sweeney(DFA, Beats in Space)is the headlining DJ along with prominent SF DJ's Ryan Poulsen(gun club) and Omar (popscene). And it should be quite the scene.

Half Mexican 4th of July

I stayed at an incredible home over the 4th of July weekend. In order to use the amazing kitchen I decided to make enchiladas. They turned out supremely delectable. Sundress thrifted from e-bay.

This is my one hundredth post. I haven't posted anything for two weeks maybe? I've been pretty busy and also thinking a lot about my future. I think it's time to take some risks and get out of my safe place. For the last six months I've been thinking a lot about starting my own business. I think I mentioned it in a previous post but I want open a retail boutique magazine shop here in my neighborhood. There are a few good magazine shops in San Francisco but there isn't one in the Mission District. Obviously I'd want to have every amazing fashion magazine I could get my hands on but I'd also like to feature arts and culture of all kinds. Lots of ideas that I need to start organizing. I really would like it to be a special place, not just at store. I've been a little uninspired lately with the blogging. I still read a ton of other blogs every day. I still shop like a little freak. I'm just transitioning in life. I'll leave you with this image of Madonna on the set of Desperately Seeking Susan. A slightly mediocre film that I can watch over an over again. It is my favorite Madonna. My only Madonna actually. At 11 years old, in 1985, I was in love with her fashion and edginess. I liked her music, but certainly did not love it. I put up with it due to my love of her image. I to this day prefer Madonna pre- Like a Virgin musically. Anyway, I had this magazine page of her on my wall (I had a wall of Madonna, a wall of Duran Duran, a wall of Prince and finally a wall of Vogue magazine pages)... I STILL COVET AND DESPERATELY WANT THESE SUNGLASSES!

A proper handbag

I saw this lovely bag via a post on the clothes-pin blog. This is my first large leather bag purchase. I think I've said it before, I don't really feel the urge to drop money on hand bags. Occasionally a vintage bag will win me over and I do have a large collection of LeSportSac bags, but they are practical. These are reasonably priced and I love buying from Etsy sellers. Bedroom Makeover Update

The new items arrived Friday. I put the desk together putting all the bolts in the wrong bolt holes... it came together sooooo much easier with the bolts in the correct holes!! No buyers remorse this time. I saw this print via the blog, A Browner Brown and had to have it. You can find it on Etsy at thecellophanes shop (aka Scott Parry, the artist).

I dish a little on shopping in SF as a petite lady on the Serafina blog. Above and below something I wore Friday night. Inspiration: hot yellow, grey and navy (can't tell but the black in the photo is actually navy). Strapless H&M dress, Men's J Crew Cardigan and navy boots I bought at Candy Store which is located near my head quarters here in the Mission. I can't wait for the sample sale this Saturday at the new Built By Wendy store on Valencia in my 'hood!!!

Redecorating the bedroom

I am awaiting delivery of a few new things for my bedroom. Opposite the bed I will put the orange Script floor lamp from CB2 as well as their white Graph desk over an off white shag rug, also from CB2. I ordered the SKRUVSTA chair from IKEA with the printed Ankarsvik pattern to go with the desk. The room should feel a million times more finished. I've decided to never buy any large furniture items from Ikea every again. Hopefully CB2 won't give me terrible buyers remorse like I have with so many other Ikea items.
